Job Summary
As a Custom Software Engineer a typical day involves creating tailored software solutions by designing coding and improving various components within systems or applications. Roles & Responsibilities:
Expected to perform independently and become an SME.
Required active participation/contribution in team discussions.
Contribute in providing solutions to work related problems.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand requirements and translate them into technical designs.
Maintain and enhance existing software applications to improve performance and reliability.
Document software development processes and maintain clear communication with stakeholders.
Assist junior team members by sharing knowledge and providing guidance to support their growth.
Professional & Technical Skills:
Must To Have Skills: Proficiency in Cobol Mainframe.
Experience in software development lifecycle and agile methodologies.
Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to analyze and resolve complex technical issues.
Familiarity with debugging and performance tuning in mainframe environments.
Ability to write clean maintainable and efficient code following best practices.
Good communication skills to effectively collaborate with team members and stakeholders. Additional Information: - The candidate should have minimum 3 years of experience in Cobol Mainframe.
