Controllers ensure that the firm meets all the financial control and reporting obligations of a global regulated and public financial institution. Our professionals measure the profitability of and risks associated with every aspect of the firms business. Controllers also ensure that the firms activities are conducted in compliance with the regulations governing transactions in the financial markets.
Business Unit Overview
The Regulatory Reporting team is responsible for ensuring the accurate timely and compliant preparation and submission of regulatory reports and management information. The team works closely with stakeholders across Risk Operations Technology and Business functions to maintain a strong control environment support regulatory compliance and drive continuous process improvement.
This is a high-visibility role that provides exposure to a wide range of regulatory reporting processes governance initiatives audits regulatory examinations and strategic projects.
Job Responsibilities
Broad responsibilities include:
- Lead and support the preparation review and submission of regulatory reports ensuring compliance with applicable regulatory requirements internal policies and reporting standards.
- Maintain a strong control environment through data quality reviews reconciliations variance analysis issue resolution and oversight of reporting processes to ensure accuracy completeness and integrity of reported information.
- Partner with stakeholders across Risk Operations Technology and Business teams to address reporting challenges implement process enhancements and support business and regulatory initiatives.
- Support governance activities including management reporting regulatory examinations audits reviews and responses to requests from senior management regulators and control functions.
- Drive continuous improvement through automation process optimisation control enhancements and strategic projects aimed at improving reporting efficiency scalability and risk management.
- Lead cross-functional initiatives coordinate deliverables across multiple teams and mentor junior professionals while fostering a culture of accountability collaboration and operational excellence.
Basic Qualifications
- Undergraduate degree in Accounting Finance Economics Business or a related discipline.
- Relevant experience in Regulatory Reporting Finance Financial Control Risk Management Audit or related functions.
- Strong understanding of financial products accounting principles and regulatory reporting concepts.
- Experience working with large datasets and reporting systems.
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities and meet strict deadlines.
Preferred Qualifications
Professional qualification such as CA CPA ACCA CFA or equivalent with extensive experience in regulatory reporting financial reporting and reporting governance.
8 years of experience in regulatory reporting financial statement reporting control oversight and related finance or regulatory functions.
Proven ability to partner with regulators auditors and control functions while supporting audits examinations and governance initiatives.
