Job Summary

Job Purpose

Administer project contracts and monitor procurement activities to protect the Clients contractual and commercial interests including variations claims extension of time RA bills BOQ control and contractor compliance.

Key Responsibilities

  • Review contract conditions technical scope BOQ payment terms milestones and contractor obligations.
  • Establish contract-administration procedures correspondence protocols and contractual registers.
  • Monitor compliance with contractual notices securities insurance warranties and statutory obligations.
  • Review variation proposals change requests and scope-deviation submissions.
  • Assess contractor claims for additional cost and extension of time in coordination with planning and technical teams.
  • Verify claim entitlement causation substantiation records and contractual notice compliance.
  • Review RA bills milestone invoices quantity measurements material reconciliation and supporting documentation.
  • Recommend payment certification withholding or recovery based on verified contractual performance.
  • Maintain variation claim EOT payment guarantee insurance and contractual correspondence registers.
  • Monitor procurement schedules vendor approvals manufacturing progress inspection dispatch and delivery of critical materials and equipment.
  • Review vendor and subcontractor compliance with approved specifications and contractual requirements.
  • Support commercial negotiations and preparation of recommendations to the Client.
  • Identify potential contractual exposures and recommend mitigation or dispute-avoidance measures.
  • Support contract close-out final account settlement completion certification and release of contractual securities.
  • Ensure commercial assessments are evidence-based and supported by contemporaneous project records.

Qualifications :

 

Minimum Qualification and Experience

  • Bachelors degree in Engineering Quantity Surveying Construction Management or equivalent.
  • Minimum 10 years of contract administration experience in major infrastructure or power projects.
  • Experience in EPC item-rate turnkey or FIDIC-based contracts.
  • Knowledge of variations claims extension of time payment certification and dispute avoidance.
  • Familiarity with transmission line substation and HVDC equipment procurement.

Additional Information :

The position will be site-based at Khavda or Surat and may require travel between project locations contractor offices manufacturing facilities and client offices.

The successful candidate will work within a multidisciplinary AECOM Energy team supporting the safe and successful delivery of major HVDC and transmission infrastructure projects.
