Responsibilities:

Design and deliver interactive age-appropriate computer science lessons aligned with the curriculum for Classes 6 to 8.
Teach core topics including computer fundamentals operating systems internet safety word processing spreadsheets presentations and introductory programming (e.g. Scratch Python basics).
Utilize multimedia and digital tools to enhance student engagement and comprehension.
Develop and administer regular assessments track student progress and provide timely feedback.
Maintain accurate records of student performance attendance and classroom activities.
Supervise and support students during computer lab sessions ensuring safe and responsible technology use.
Collaborate with fellow teachers and the academic team to align technology integration across subjects.

Requirements

Bachelors degree in Computer Science Information Technology or a related field; in Computer Science is highly preferred.
25 years of teaching experience in computer education preferably in the 6th to 8th grade range.
Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite Google Workspace and basic programming tools (Scratch Python etc.).
Demonstrated ability to simplify complex technical concepts for young learners.
Excellent communication classroom management and interpersonal skills.
Familiarity with the CBSE/ICSE/State Board curriculum for computer science at the middle school level.
Commitment to student-centered learning and continuous professional growth.
Willingness to work in a fast-paced collaborative school environment in Kumbalgodi Bangalore.
