Job Description Cloud Support Engineer

Role Summary
We are seeking an experienced Cloud Support Engineer to provide L2/L3 production support operational maintenance incident management security support and continuous reliability improvement for an enterprise medical imaging platform in Singapore.
This role is responsible for ensuring the stability security performance and availability of the XNAT application and its supporting AWS cloud infrastructure. The engineer will work across cloud infrastructure application support identity integration secure DevOps pipelines and healthcare compliance requirements.
The ideal candidate should possess strong hands-on experience in AWS cloud operations Java-based application troubleshooting SecDevOps practices and healthcare-grade platform support.

Key Responsibilities
1. Production Application Support
Provide day-to-day L2/L3 support for the medical imaging application hosted in AWS.
Monitor platform health investigate incidents perform root cause analysis and restore services within SLA.
Troubleshoot application issues across frontend backend APIs image ingestion workflows metadata processing and user access.
Analyze Java application logs service logs container logs and database errors for issue resolution.
Coordinate with development teams/vendors for bug fixes patching and enhancement deployment.
Maintain operational runbooks SOPs knowledge base and support documentation.

2. AWS Cloud Infrastructure Support
Manage and support the AWS infrastructure stack powering the XNAT platform including:
Cloud resource monitoring and troubleshooting
Incident response and service restoration
Capacity and performance tuning
Backup verification and disaster recovery support
Cloud configuration review and optimization
Deployment validation and environment health checks

3. Identity & Access Management Support
Support user authentication authorization and SSO integration between AWS and Microsoft Microsoft Entra ID.
Manage IAM roles policies least privilege access service accounts and cross-service permissions.
Support AppStream user access provisioning and federated login troubleshooting.
Ensure access controls comply with healthcare security and audit requirements.

4. SecDevOps & Release Support
Support secure CI/CD deployment activities for infrastructure and application releases.
Participate in vulnerability remediation patch deployment secrets rotation and configuration hardening.
Ensure compliance with secure coding secure image/container deployment and infrastructure baseline controls.
Review logs alerts and security findings to proactively identify operational risks.
Collaborate with DevOps and Security teams for continuous platform resilience improvements.

5. Database & Storage Support
Support Amazon RDS PostgreSQL operational monitoring backup validation query troubleshooting and connectivity issues.
Manage S3 storage monitoring for medical image archive metadata and application object storage.
Investigate data ingestion failures storage performance bottlenecks and lifecycle policy issues.

6. Networking & Connectivity Support
Troubleshoot AWS VPC networking route tables security groups NACLs DNS ALB routing SSL/TLS certificates and API endpoint connectivity.
Support secure connectivity between AppStream users application services and backend imaging repositories.
Assist in firewall rule validation and endpoint whitelisting.

7. Compliance Monitoring & Operational Governance
Ensure platform operations align with healthcare cloud governance security and auditability standards.
Support operational compliance evidence gathering log retention audit review and incident reporting.
Implement proactive monitoring alert tuning and reliability improvement initiatives.
Participate in on-call support rotation and critical incident management.

Strong Java application troubleshooting experience
Ability to read stack traces logs API exceptions and service integration errors
Understanding of REST API troubleshooting and backend service dependencies
Linux command line administration experience

DevOps / SecDevOps
CI/CD pipeline exposure
Docker/container troubleshooting
Infrastructure as Code awareness (Terraform / CloudFormation preferred)
Security vulnerability remediation and patch management
Secrets/certificate management awareness

Identity & Security
AWS IAM policy management
Microsoft Microsoft Entra ID / SSO / federation support
RBAC and least privilege model understanding
Audit logging and compliance operations
