Job Summary
Synechron is seeking a seasoned Developer with AWS cloud expertise to lead the development and maintenance of scalable high-performance backend applications. This role involves designing robust server-side solutions collaborating with cross-functional teams and integrating emerging technologies such as generative AI. The ideal candidate will provide technical guidance ensure code quality and drive innovation to support our digital transformation initiatives and enterprise objectives.

Software Requirements

Required Software Proficiency:

• (latest LTS version) extensive hands-on experience in developing scalable secure backend solutions

• AWS Cloud Services (e.g. EC2 S3 Lambda API Gateway CloudFormation) strong knowledge in deploying managing and supporting cloud-native applications

• Containerization: Docker experience in building and deploying containerized applications

• Scripting languages: Python Bash for automation workflows and operations support

• Version control: Git and Bitbucket proficiency in source code management branching and collaboration workflows

• WebSocket or WebRTC protocols for real-time data streaming and communication support

Preferred Software Skills:

• Serverless Architecture: AWS Lambda API Gateway for event-driven backend solutions

• Infrastructure as Code: Terraform AWS CloudFormation supporting environment provisioning and automation

• CI/CD pipelines: Jenkins GitLab CI or Azure DevOps for continuous integration and deployment

• Monitoring tools: CloudWatch Prometheus Grafana for system health and performance tracking

Overall Responsibilities

• Lead the development and support of scalable secure backend applications utilizing and AWS cloud services

• Design with scalability and high availability in mind supporting enterprise-grade solutions

• Collaborate with frontend teams product managers and DevOps to translate business requirements into technical architectures

• Create and maintain automated deployment pipelines and infrastructure as code for rapid reliable releases

• Conduct code reviews enforce best coding practices and mentor junior team members in full-stack and cloud-native development

• Optimize system performance troubleshoot issues and implement enhancements for operational efficiency

• Monitor system health via cloud and containerization tools addressing technical issues proactively

• Support infrastructure migrations system upgrades and automation initiatives supporting organizational growth

• Document architecture deployment procedures and operational workflows for ongoing maintenance and compliance

Technical Skills (By Category)

• Programming & Development (Essential):

  • (latest LTS) JavaScript/TypeScript core skills for backend development

  • Bash Python for automation and scripting support

  • WebSocket REST APIs GraphQL (preferred) for real-time communication and integration

• Cloud & Infrastructure:

  • AWS (EC2 S3 Lambda API Gateway CloudFormation) Azure or GCP supporting deployment and management of cloud-native solutions (preferred)

  • Infrastructure as Code: Terraform CloudFormation for environment provisioning and automation (preferred)

• Containerization & Orchestration:

  • Docker Kubernetes AWS ECS/EKS for containerized deployment and scaling

• Monitoring & Security:

  • AWS CloudWatch Prometheus Grafana for system monitoring and alerting

  • Security best practices including encryption IAM policies and secure API design

Experience Requirements

• 8 to 12 years supporting and developing scalable cloud-native backend systems using and AWS

• Proven experience designing and deploying microservices architectures supporting large enterprise workloads

• Hands-on expertise in infrastructure as code automation and container orchestration

• Strong understanding of security best practices and data privacy in cloud environments

• Experience working in agile teams with continuous delivery pipelines

• Exposure to emerging AI or ML integrations (optional but advantageous)

Day-to-Day Activities

• Develop test and deploy backend APIs and serverless functions supporting enterprise applications

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements design solutions and implement new features

• Automate infrastructure provisioning deployment and maintenance processes

• Monitor system performance troubleshoot incidents and optimize operational workflows

• Support cloud migration activities environment configuration and system upgrades

• Conduct code reviews mentor junior developers and enforce security standards

• Document architecture deployment and operational procedures for ongoing support and compliance

Qualifications

• Bachelors or Masters degree in Computer Science Engineering or a related technical field

• 6 years of experience with AWS cloud environment and scalable backend development

• Certifications in AWS (e.g. AWS Solutions Architect AWS Developer) or similar cloud platforms are preferred

• Proven ability to deliver secure reliable and high-performance cloud applications supporting enterprise needs
