Role: Cloud & Devops Engineer

Experience : 3 to 5 years

Location: Bangalore Chennai (Hybrid)

Roles & Responsibilities:

  • Troubleshoot and resolve enterprise web application issues including configuration in Unix/Linux environments with technologies like J2EE WebSphere Tomcat and SQL.
  • Provide hands-on support for cloud platforms (AWS or Azure) and utilize services such as EC2 S3 IAM ELB Route53 etc.
  • Develop and maintain infrastructure using Terraform for automation and infrastructure-as-code.
  • Write and manage Jenkins pipelines for continuous integration (CI) and continuous delivery (CD).
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and deploy solutions.
  • Create and execute automation scripts using Python and Shell scripting for operational efficiency.
  • Implement and manage Docker containers and Kubernetes for application deployment and orchestration.
  • Follow ITIL processes for Incident Change and Problem management ensuring smooth operation of services.
  • Diagnose and resolve application performance issues and system bottlenecks in a proactive manner.
  • Operate in an Agile and DevOps environment participating in code reviews ensuring code quality and following branching practices in GitHub.
  • Balance project work with unplanned tasks regularly reassessing priorities based on operational needs.
  • Escalate and prioritize issues as needed to ensure timely resolution.

Preferred Qualifications & Experience:

  • Bachelors degree in Engineering (B.E) or MCA.
  • 2-4 years of experience in cloud and DevOps roles supporting enterprise applications.
  • Proven hands-on experience with AWS or Azure cloud platforms and their services (e.g. EC2 S3 IAM Route53 etc.).
  • Expertise in Terraform for infrastructure automation.
  • Proficiency in Python and Shell scripting for automation with experience in Ansible a plus.
  • Knowledge of Docker and Kubernetes for containerization and orchestration.
  • Familiarity with Jenkins pipelines and CI/CD practices.
  • Experience with Unix/Linux environments and application servers like WebSphere Tomcat or IIS.
  • Basic understanding of network technologies and Oracle databases.
  • Good understanding of ITIL processes (Incident Change and Problem Management).
  • Experience with software testing (unit functional performance testing) is a plus.
  • Ability to work in an Agile environment with a focus on DevOps practices.
  • Experience with code reviews ensuring code quality and adhering to GitHub branching practices.
  • Hands-on knowledge of cloud-native architectures and DevOps tools.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to conduct root cause analysis.
  • Ability to manage and prioritize tasks effectively in a fast-paced interrupt-driven environment.
