Civil Field Engineer – Substation & HVDC

Job Purpose

Supervise civil and structural works for substations and HVDC terminal stations including deep foundations converter halls control buildings trenches equipment foundations and gantry structures.

Key Responsibilities

• Review approved civil and structural drawings specifications method statements and ITPs.
• Verify site grading excavation filling compaction and soil-improvement works.
• Supervise pile raft isolated machine and equipment foundations.
• Monitor converter hall valve hall control building relay room and auxiliary-building construction.
• Inspect reinforcement formwork embedded items anchor bolts inserts and concrete works.
• Verify equipment foundations for GIS transformers reactors filters switchgear and auxiliary systems.
• Supervise cable trenches culverts drains oil pits firewalls bunds and water-retaining structures.
• Monitor structural-steel fabrication and erection for buildings gantries bus supports and equipment structures.
• Check stub-setting gantry alignment levels plumbness and bolt tightening.
• Monitor internal roads drainage boundary wall landscaping and site-development works.
• Coordinate civil interfaces with electrical mechanical HVAC fire-protection and cable-routing requirements.
• Review concrete test results material certificates survey records and structural-inspection reports.
• Identify deviations and initiate RFIs observations or NCRs.
• Verify as-built dimensions levels and completion records.
• Support punch-list close-out and civil handover.

Qualifications :

Minimum Qualification and Experience

• Bachelors degree or diploma in Civil Engineering.
• Minimum 5-8 years of civil-construction experience.
• Experience in EHV substation industrial building or major infrastructure works.
• Knowledge of piling reinforced concrete structural steel buildings roads and drainage
