Job Description

Job Title - Cisco Wireless Network Administrator

Experience - 5 - 10 Years

Location - Hyderabad

Notice - Immediate to 15 days

Requirements:

Build and maintain the EoL/EoS inventory refresh plan BoM and migration schedule.

Validate hardware compatibility (AP models WLC code RF profiles) and target images.

Coordinate change windows back out plans and rollback images/archives.

Execute cutovers (WLC HA failover AP priming/reassignment like to like replacement).

Perform post cutover health checks (AP association SSIDs RF coverage client auth DHCP/DNS reachability).

Use DNAC Design & Templates to standardize site hierarchy SSIDs AAA DHCP helpers WLAN policies RF profiles and QoS.

Manage SWIM (Software Image Management) for golden images and compliant versions across WLCs/APs.

Leverage Provisioning for device onboarding CLI/Composite templates and variable mappings.

Define and apply standard port profiles (AP access ports trunk/native VLAN PoE budgets storm control).

Update switch Configs to support AP moves/adds/changes (VLANs mGig LAG if used).

Pre-stage device in DNAC inventory (serials site assignment credentials).

Validate join status (AP to WLC) SSID broadcast RADIUS/LDAP reachability and DNS/DHCP.

Gracefully drain/migrate clients; remove from DNAC policies/templates.

Maintain low level designs (LLDs) migration runbooks rollback plans IQ/OQ reports and as built diagrams.

Keep DNAC templates and image compliance matrices under version control.

Log all changes under ITSM (RFCs) with risk/impact assessment and CAB approvals.

Update CMDB assets lifecycle states and warranty/license records.

Skills Required:

5 to 8 years experienced on implementing testing and troubleshooting wireless products including access points (APs) WLC and other WLAN infrastructure like Cisco Prime DNAC and client devices for evaluation.

Deep understanding of WLAN technologies network management and security including IEEE 802.11a/b/g/n/ac WLAN standards and industry best practices.

Solid understanding of Cisco wireless infrastructure and architecture. Good hands-on experience with DNAC Wireless LAN controller and Cisco AP troubleshooting as well as with the Cisco WLC IOS Code upgrade.

Good understanding on wireless site surveys and access points RF technology.

Good understanding and hands on experience on DNAC-Network hierarchy Network profile creation wireless controller provision floor mapping.

Hands on experience with configuration and troubleshooting of Cisco WLC models likewith HA SSO and all models of Cisco APs including next generation 9100 series APs.

Excellent Troubleshooting & Debugging expertise on Cisco WLC and Access Points.

Fundamental knowledge of switching / routing protocols LAN/WAN and authentication.

Installing and configuring network hardware such as routers switches.

Hands on experience of Cisco catalyst 9k series switches.

Hands on knowledge and understanding of Cisco ISE/ Aruba ClearPass is an added advantage.

Excellent analytical communication and documentation skills.

Upgrade IOS of WLC as per schedule.

Handles all changes as per the change management process.
