Job Description QA Automation Engineer (Playwright with TypeScript/JavaScript)

Job Summary

Key Responsibilities

• Design develop and maintain automated test scripts using Playwright with TypeScript/JavaScript.
• Execute functional regression smoke and end-to-end test cases.
• Analyze test results identify defects and collaborate with developers to resolve issues.
• Participate in requirement analysis and test planning activities.
• Develop reusable automation frameworks and utilities.
• Perform API testing using tools such as Postman or Playwright API testing.
• Validate UI functionality across multiple browsers.
• Integrate automated test suites with CI/CD pipelines.
• Prepare test reports and provide quality metrics.
• Participate in Agile ceremonies including sprint planning stand-ups and retrospectives.

Required Skills

Must Have

• 12 years of experience in Software Testing/QA Automation.
• Hands-on experience with Playwright.
• Strong knowledge of TypeScript or JavaScript.
• Understanding of automation framework design and best practices.
• Experience in UI automation testing.
• Knowledge of API testing (Postman or Playwright API testing).
• Good understanding of SDLC STLC and Agile methodologies.
• Experience with Git version control.
• Strong debugging and analytical skills.
• Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities.

Good to Have

• Experience with CI/CD tools such as GitHub Actions Jenkins or Azure DevOps.
• Basic knowledge of SQL for database validation.
• Familiarity with Docker.
• Experience with cross-browser and cross-platform testing.
• Exposure to performance or security testing concepts.
