Business Head Forging & Casting Manufacturing

Location: Coimbatore

The Business Head will have overall responsibility for leading a forging and casting manufacturing facility with full accountability for operational performance financial results quality standards and workforce effectiveness. This role demands a strong strategic mindset combined with hands-on manufacturing leadership to drive sustainable growth operational efficiency and a culture of safety and excellence.

• Formulate and execute business plans that support long-term growth and competitiveness
• Align manufacturing strategy with evolving market demands and customer expectations
• Identify opportunities to strengthen market position and operational capabilities

• Direct end-to-end plant operations including production scheduling sourcing maintenance and quality functions
• Ensure optimal utilization of resources to achieve productivity delivery and cost targets
• Resolve operational challenges through structured problem-solving and data-driven decision-making

• Lead annual planning budgeting and forecasting activities
• Track financial performance against targets and drive initiatives to improve margins and cost efficiency
• Ensure disciplined capital and expense management

• Build lead and retain a capable leadership team across functions
• Encourage a performance-oriented culture with emphasis on ownership collaboration and continuous learning
• Support talent development and succession planning

• Establish robust quality systems to meet regulatory industry and customer requirements
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives using lean manufacturing and waste-reduction practices
• Ensure consistency in product quality and process reliability

• Champion workplace safety and ensure adherence to all statutory and regulatory norms
• Promote best practices in environmental health and safety management
• Maintain a strong compliance and governance framework

• Develop strong partnerships with key customers and stakeholders
• Address customer concerns proactively and ensure high levels of satisfaction
• Collaborate with customers on quality delivery and technical requirements

• Bachelor s degree in Engineering Business or a related discipline
• Postgraduate qualification (MBA or equivalent) is preferred

• 20 years of experience in manufacturing operations
• At least 5 years in a senior leadership role within forging and casting environments
• Proven track record of managing complex manufacturing operations and delivering business results
