Business Analyst with General Insurance
Job Summary
Job Description:

Act as a General Insurance Business Analyst across Motor Health Property Marine and Travel insurance products guiding teams with deep domain understanding.

Engage with business stakeholders IT teams and vendors to elicit analyze and translate business regulatory and operational requirements into clear and actionable functional specifications.

Work end to end across the General Insurance value chain covering new business agent and partner management underwriting policy administration endorsements renewals claims billing and reinsurance processes.

Lead detailed requirement analysis and functional solution design with strong involvement in Duck Creek or similar PAS platforms; prepare and manage BRDs FSDs user stories and process documentation.

Facilitate requirement workshops design discussions and walkthroughs to align business needs with configuration rules integrations and downstream impacts across core systems.

Ensure all functional solutions comply with IRDAI regulations underwriting guidelines audit standards and statutory reporting requirements.

Support product configuration activities involving coverages rating logic business rules endorsements workflows renewals and underwriting checks.

Play a leadership role during SIT and UAT supporting test planning scenario creation data validation defect triage and business sign off.

Analyze regulatory updates product changes and operational enhancements ensuring accurate translation into system updates and functional workflows.

Drive process optimization STP (Straight Through Processing) automation and digital enablement initiatives to enhance efficiency and customer journeys.

Contribute actively to digital transformation programs involving core system modernization and digital channel integration.

Mentor junior analysts and serve as a domain anchor ensuring functional quality documentation accuracy and alignment with insurance best practices.

Support MIS/reporting activities ensuring data accuracy reconciliation and compliance across policy and claims systems
