The Maquoketa Valley School District has an opening for a bus driver for Part-Time possibly moving into Full-Time. Applicants must have a CDL with a school bus passenger endorsement or the ability to obtain one. The district will support an individual through the license process if needed. As a School Bus Driver you will be responsible for transporting students to and from school and extracurricular events following a scheduled route and ensuring the safety of all duties will include conducting pre-trip inspections to ensure the bus is in good working condition observing safety and traffic rules during the journey and maintaining order and discipline among students on the you will be expected to communicate effectively with students parents and school staff providing excellent customer service and addressing any concerns or issues that may children and other passengers to and from schoolObey all traffic laws to ensure students arrive to their destination safelyMaintain a clean and mechanically sound bus at all timesEnsure the safety of all students when entering and leaving the busAssist students with getting on and off the bus as neededEngage with students as they enter and leave the bus
