Job Description Team Lead

Role Overview

We are seeking an experienced Backend Java Team Lead to lead a team in designing

developing and delivering scalable secure and high-performance backend applications. The

ideal candidate will have strong expertise in Java cloud-native technologies system design

databases and multi-cloud platforms (AWS & GCP) along with experience leading

engineering teams mentoring developers driving technical decisions and delivering

enterprise-grade software solutions.

The role involves providing technical leadership overseeing solution design and

implementation promoting engineering best practices collaborating with cross-functional

teams and ensuring the scalability reliability security and operational excellence of backend

platforms.

Key Responsibilities

Design and develop backend services using Java and Spring Boot.

Design develop and optimize database solutions using SQL Spring and

relational/NoSQL databases ensuring performance security and data integrity.

Design and implement cloud-native solutions on AWS and GCP ensuring

interoperability high availability resilience and cost efficiency.

Provision and manage infrastructure using Terraform (IaC) across multi-cloud

environments.

Collaborate with architects engineers DevOps and cross-functional teams to deliver

scalable backend solutions.

Optimize application performance scalability reliability and operational costs.

Ensure applications are secure observable and compliant with organizational

standards.

Guide mentor and review the work of the engineering team.

Participate in code reviews architecture discussions and Agile ceremonies.

Monitor troubleshoot and continuously improve system reliability and performance.

Required Skills & Qualifications

Core Java

Strong proficiency in Java (JDK 11 & 17).

Expertise in backend development OOP Effective Java and design patterns.

Spring Framework

Hands-on experience with Spring Boot.

Experience building RESTful microservices.

Cloud Platforms

Strong experience with AWS and GCP.

Experience building cloud-native and multi-cloud applications.

Infrastructure & DevOps

Terraform (IaC).

CI/CD pipelines and cloud infrastructure automation.

Architecture

Microservices and distributed systems.

Cross-cloud architecture.

High availability resiliency performance and cost optimization.

Engineering Practices

Code reviews.

Agile/Scrum.

Observability and monitoring.

Production troubleshooting.

Security best practices.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience designing enterprise-scale backend systems.

Experience working in multi-cloud environments.

Knowledge of distributed system design patterns.

Experience with Docker/Kubernetes.

Familiarity with DevOps and Site Reliability Engineering (SRE).

Strong problem-solving and communication skills.
