Backend Developer

As a Backend Developer you will work closely with Solution Architects Application/Technical Architects and Business Analysts to design and develop robust scalable and maintainable backend solutions.

You will be a key member of the development team primarily responsible for developing backend application services and RESTful APIs using C# and Core. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in software architecture Domain-Driven Design and design patterns with the ability to translate complex functional requirements into well-designed technical solutions.
 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Design develop and maintain scalable backend services and RESTful APIs using C# and Core.
• Participate in requirement discussions technical design sessions code reviews and architecture discussions.
• Translate functional and business requirements into effective technical solutions.
• Apply Domain-Driven Design (DDD) Clean Architecture and software design principles when developing enterprise applications.
• Implement appropriate creational structural and behavioral design patterns.
• Develop maintainable data access solutions using Entity Framework Core and SQL Server.
• Follow coding standards architectural guidelines and software development best practices.
• Write and maintain unit tests to ensure application quality and reliability.
• Troubleshoot complex technical issues and optimize backend application and API performance.
• Participate in research proof-of-concepts (POCs) and technical demonstrations.
• Collaborate with architects and development teams to continuously improve application architecture and code quality.

Qualifications :

MINIMUM KNOWLEDGE SKILLS AND ABILITIES

The requirements listed below are representative of the experience education knowledge skill and/or abilities required.

• 7 years of relevant software development experience with strong hands-on backend development expertise.
• Strong expertise in C# and Core.
• Extensive experience designing and developing RESTful APIs and backend application services.
• Strong experience with Entity Framework Core (EF Core).
• Strong understanding of SQL and relational databases preferably SQL Server.
• Hands-on experience with Domain-Driven Design (DDD).
• Strong understanding and practical implementation of Clean Architecture.
• Strong knowledge of object-oriented programming SOLID principles and software design patterns.
• Practical experience implementing Repository Pattern.
• Strong understanding of creational structural and behavioral design patterns including:
  • Factory Pattern
  • Facade Pattern
  • Chain of Responsibility Pattern
• Experience designing scalable maintainable and loosely coupled backend applications.
• Experience with unit testing and code quality best practices.
• Good experience working with Git and Azure DevOps.
• Ability to understand functional requirements convert them into technical requirements and independently implement solutions.
• Strong analytical problem-solving and technical communication skills.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

• Experience with microservices and distributed application architecture.
• Experience with API security and authentication frameworks.
• Exposure to cloud platforms preferably Microsoft Azure.
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines and modern software delivery practices.
• Bachelors or Masters degree in Computer Science Information Technology Engineering or a related discipline.
• Relevant professional or technical certifications are preferred.
