Role
To provide strategic leadership and overall direction for the Civil Business/Projects function.
To lead and oversee multiple civil construction projects ensuring timely profitable safe and quality execution.
To develop and implement strategies for business growth project delivery operational excellence and customer satisfaction.
To align civil project execution with the organization’s business objectives financial targets and client requirements.
Responsibilities
Lead and oversee planning execution monitoring and successful completion of multiple civil construction projects.
Develop project execution strategies construction methodologies schedules and resource plans.
Monitor project performance against approved budgets timelines quality standards and contractual obligations.
Drive cost optimization productivity improvement resource utilization and project profitability.
Review and approve project budgets estimates execution plans and resource requirements.
Ensure compliance with quality standards safety norms statutory requirements and applicable regulations.
Lead negotiations and coordination with clients consultants contractors vendors and regulatory authorities.
Review and resolve major technical contractual commercial and operational issues.
Monitor project risks and ensure timely implementation of mitigation and corrective actions.
Oversee contract administration variations claims extensions of time and commercial matters.
Develop and mentor Project Managers Civil Engineers and site leadership teams.
Review project MIS dashboards KPIs financial performance and overall business performance.
Support business development tendering estimation and project acquisition activities from a civil execution perspective.
Identify opportunities for improving project delivery operational efficiency and profitability.
Ensure effective coordination between Civil MEP Projects Procurement Finance HR and other functions.
Drive organizational standards systems processes and best practices across all civil projects.
Provide regular updates to senior management on project status risks profitability and strategic initiatives.
Review and approve construction methodologies schedules and resource plans.
Authorities
Authority to approve and recommend civil project plans budgets execution strategies and resource requirements.
Authority to allocate and reallocate manpower materials equipment and other resources across civil projects.
Authority to enforce quality safety statutory and operational standards across projects.
Authority to interact and negotiate with clients consultants contractors vendors and regulatory authorities.
Authority to recommend and approve within delegated limits commercial decisions variations claims and contractual matters.
Authority to evaluate project performance and initiate corrective actions where required.
Authority to recommend manpower deployment performance actions and development plans for civil project teams.
Authority to escalate critical technical commercial contractual and operational matters to senior management.
Authority to drive implementation of civil policies processes systems and best practices across the organization.
