As an AV Commissioning Engineer you will be responsible for executing testing calibrating and commissioning Audio Visual systems in line with project specifications and standards. You will collaborate with design project and support teams to ensure seamless delivery of AV systems to enterprise and commercial clients.
Installation & Commissioning
Perform physical installation and configuration of AV components: displays speakers DSPs amplifiers controllers microphones cameras etc.
Commission and test AV systems such as video conferencing audio matrix digital signage control systems (e.g. Crestron Extron AMX).
Calibrate audio systems and video displays for optimum performance.
Validate wiring labelling and terminations as per SLD and rack layouts.
System Configuration
Load and configure AV control system programs (Crestron/AMX/Extron).
Integrate VC platforms (Zoom MS Teams Cisco Webex) with installed hardware.
Support firmware updates and hardware diagnostics.
Testing & Documentation
Perform site acceptance testing (SAT) and functional test procedures (FAT).
Prepare commissioning reports punch lists and issue logs.
Create and maintain as-built documentation including schematics layout drawings and configuration files.
Client & Team Coordination
Interface with clients consultants and project stakeholders during handover and testing.
Coordinate with project engineers design team and vendors for timely issue resolution.
Provide basic training and technical handover to end users.
Requirements
Diploma/Degree in Electronics Electrical or relevant AV/ELV background.
36 years of experience in AV commissioning or integration.
Hands-on experience with Logitech Cisco Poly Barco Crestron Kramer or Extron systems.
Knowledge of network and IP-based AV deployments.
Ability to read technical drawings and schematics.
Strong troubleshooting and communication skills.
Industry certifications (e.g. CTS Crestron/Extron certifications) are a plus.
