Automobile Design Engineer is responsible for the aesthetic functional and structural development of vehicles. They bridge the gap between creative styling and mechanical production transforming conceptual sketches into functional safe and manufacturing-ready components or full vehicle ResponsibilitiesConcept & CAD Design: Translate styling sketches into detailed 3D CAD models and 2D engineering Integration: Package mechanical electrical and powertrain systems into the vehicle chassis ensuring optimal ergonomics and structural & Analysis: Use computer simulations (FEA/CFD) to predict how designs will react to aerodynamic forces structural stress and crash Feasibility: Ensure designs can be mass-produced efficiently through Design for Manufacturing (DFM) and Design for Assembly (DFA) & Validation: Develop Design Validation Plans (DVP&R) build physical prototypes analyze test data and refine components to meet regulatory safety and emissions Skills & QualificationsTechnical Software: Proficiency in industry-standard CAD and PLM software (e.g. CATIA Siemens NX SolidWorks).Engineering Principles: Deep understanding of material science vehicle dynamics fluid mechanics and Knowledge: Familiarity with global safety emissions and automotive compliance Skills: High attention to detail complex problem-solving and the ability to collaborate across multidisciplinary teams (ergonomics manufacturing and supplier teams).Education: A Bachelors or Masters degree in Mechanical Automobile or Production Engineering.
