Our Nuclear division is a leading consultancy providing multi-disciplinary engineering support services to all project stages from concept through to completion to owners operators regulators and suppliers to a diversified set of clients. Within the Nuclear sector we are involved across the whole life cycle of the civil nuclear industry building the next generation of civil nuclear power stations and the first large scale prototype fusion reactor meeting the challenge of keeping the current nuclear fleet operational and tackling complex decommissioning projects. Your role

• We are seeking a Senior AutoCAD Electrical Designer with strong expertise in electrical design CAD administration and Autodesk Construction Cloud (ACC).
• The role combines hands-on electrical design delivery with CAD and ACC administration responsibilities ensuring intelligent database-driven standardized and high-quality engineering outputs while enabling effective collaboration across multidisciplinary teams.
• The candidate will act as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) supporting project delivery driving standardization and mentoring team members.

About you

Skills

• Diploma / Bachelors degree in electrical engineering / Instrumentation / Electronics / or related field.
• 810 years of experience in AutoCAD Electrical design CAD administration and engineering
• Certification or formal training in AutoCAD Electrical is an advantage
• Experience working on industrial power or EPC projects
• Exposure to BIM workflows and integration
• Experience in multi-disciplinary design environments
• Hands-on experience with Autodesk Construction Cloud (ACC).
• Should have strong knowledge of:
• Electrical schematics SLDs wiring diagrams and panel layouts
• CAD standards drawing management and design workflows
• Template creation symbol libraries and catalog management
• AutoCAD Electrical tools and customization
• Strong understanding of intelligent electrical design workflows (AutoCAD Electrical MDB environment) including tagging cross-referencing and wire numbering
• Ability to generate engineering outputs such as BOMs cable schedules and wiring reports
• Familiarity with IEC / IEEE / IS standards
• Strong troubleshooting skills for tagging and cross-referencing
• Good understanding of file management cloud collaboration and version control systems
• Strong written and verbal communication
• Ability to work independently and take ownership of deliverables
• Strong coordination across disciplines
• Ability to train mentor and guide junior team members
• Attention to detail and strong standardization mindset
• Strong problem-solving and organizational skills
• Flexible to relocate to AtkinsRéalis India Office Locations (Bangalore/Gurgaon/Mumbai) flexible in travelling to AtkinsRéalis and clients office locations around the world if required.

Job duties

Electrical Design & Engineering

• Develop and maintain fully intelligent database-linked AutoCAD Electrical drawings
• Prepare and deliver schematics SLDs wiring diagrams and panel layouts
• Own end-to-end design deliverables from concept to final issue
• Generate and validate BOMs cable schedules wire lists and PLC I/O reports
• Contribute to development of GA drawings and P&IDs where required

Intelligent Design & Database Integration

• Develop and manage database-driven intelligent schematics using AutoCAD Electrical
• Configure and maintain project databases (MDB; SQL Server exposure is an advantage)
• Implement and troubleshoot tagging wire numbering and cross-referencing systems
• Customize symbol libraries and manufacturer catalog databases
• Ensure data consistency across drawings and generated reports
• Integrate AutoCAD Electrical outputs with Excel and EDMS platforms
• Support migration of legacy drawings into intelligent formats
• AutoCAD Electrical Administration
• Manage AutoCAD Electrical environments including installation configuration and upgrades
• Develop and maintain CAD standards templates symbol libraries and catalogs
• Ensure compliance with company and industry standards
• Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues
• Autodesk Construction Cloud (ACC)
• Administer ACC including project setup folder structures and access control
• Manage document workflows ensuring proper versioning and collaboration practices
• Integrate AutoCAD Electrical deliverables with ACC
• Support and drive adoption of ACC tools (Docs Build Design Collaboration)
• Ensure proper handling of multi-disciplinary deliverables
• User Support Training & Mentoring
• Act as SME for AutoCAD Electrical and ACC tools
• Provide technical support to project teams
• Conduct training sessions and develop user documentation
• Mentor guide and review work of junior designers
• Standards QA/QC & Governance
• Ensure compliance with IEC / IEEE / IS standards and CAD standards
• Perform QA/QC checks on drawings and database integrity
• Maintain proper revision control and audit trail
• Enforce best practices in design and documentation
• Coordination Collaboration & Continuous Improvement
• Coordinate with engineering IT vendors and project teams to ensure smooth execution
• Ensure effective collaboration across multidisciplinary teams
• Support integration of engineering workflows across digital platforms
• Identify opportunities to enhance workflows efficiency and productivity
• Automate repetitive tasks using scripts tools or configurations
• Drive adoption of best practices in design and digital workflows
• Stay updated with industry trends technologies and engineering standards
