Position Overview

The Audit Manager will lead and oversee statutory and internal audit engagements for a diverse client portfolio ensuring compliance with Indian accounting standards regulatory requirements and firm quality standards. This role involves managing audit teams maintaining client relationships and contributing to the firms growth and reputation.


Roles and Responsibilities

Audit Planning and Execution

  • Plan execute and finalise statutory audits tax audits internal audits and special assignments across industries
  • Develop audit strategies risk assessments and detailed audit programmes tailored to each engagement
  • Review financial statements for compliance with Ind AS ICAI standards Companies Act 2013 and other applicable regulations
  • Develop & Execute Tax audit programmes for various clients
  • Identify key risk areas internal control weaknesses and recommend practical improvements

Team Leadership and Supervision

  • Lead mentor and supervise audit teams comprising seniors and articled assistants
  • Allocate work set deadlines and monitor progress to ensure timely completion of engagements
  • Review working papers audit documentation and draft reports prepared by team members
  • Conduct on-the-job training and support professional development of junior staff

Client and Stakeholder Management

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for assigned clients during audit engagements
  • Build and maintain strong client relationships to ensure retention and identify cross-selling opportunities
  • Coordinate with regulatory authorities banks and other external stakeholders as required

Qualifications

  • Chartered Accountant (CA) or CA Intermediate Qualified
  • Experience: 3 5 years of post-qualification experience
  • Good knowledge of AS Ind AS Companies Act 2013 Income Tax Act GST and CARO requirements
  • Proficiency in MS Excel Word and PowerPoint

  • Communication clear confident verbal and written communication; comfortable presenting to senior stakeholders
  • Analytical thinking strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
