Asst. Manager – Warehouse & Logistics

Role Overview

We are looking for an experienced and results-driven Warehouse & Logistics professional to join our team as Assistant Manager. The incumbent will independently own day-to-day warehouse & logistics operations across multiple floors and brands under SDD Group with dual reporting to Management and shall directly lead and manage the warehouse team ensuring inventory accuracy and driving process efficiency across inbound storage and outbound functions. The role requires strong leadership hands-on operational expertise and the ability to coordinate effectively with internal departments and external stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day warehouse and logistics operations ensuring smooth and uninterrupted functioning.
• Independently manage and supervise a warehouse team ensuring efficient manpower utilization.
• Monitor inventory stock movement inward/outward processes and dispatches to ensure accuracy and timeliness.
• Ensure timely coordination with vendors transporters and internal departments for seamless material flow.
• Maintain proper documentation and compliance related to warehouse operations including statutory and audit requirements.
• Implement processes and best practices to improve operational efficiency and reduce overall costs.
• Monitor stock accuracy and minimize inventory discrepancies through regular audits and cycle counts.
• Ensure workplace safety discipline and adherence to company policies and standard operating procedures.
• Prepare and review MIS/reports related to inventory logistics and warehouse performance for management review.
• Handle operational issues and escalations ensuring timely resolution and minimal disruption to business.

Required Qualifications & Experience

• Education:
  • Graduates/ MBA / Diploma in Logistics Supply Chain Management or a related field.
• Experience:
  • 5-8 years of relevant experience in warehouse operations logistics or supply chain management with at least 2 years in a supervisory or managerial capacity.
