Job Title Platform Administrator

Key Responsibilities:
- Manage and monitor Linux-based systems ensuring platform stability performance and availability.
- Support Big Data and analytics environments (e.g. Hadoop Spark Hive) through routine maintenance service restarts and log analysis.
- Perform regular health checks capacity monitoring and performance tuning of platform components.
- Collaborate with security teams for certificate renewals firewall whitelisting and compliance updates.
- Assist in incident resolution root cause analysis and prepare post-incident reports.
- Maintain up-to-date system documentation SOPs and configuration details.
- Work with cross-functional teams to support deployments upgrades and integrations across the platform.
- Ensure data security and user access governance across all environments (Dev UAT Prod).
Education and Certifications:
- Mandatory Bachelors degree ( /B.E.)
Technical Skills Knowledge & Abilities
- Proficient in basic and advanced Linux commands for system operations and troubleshooting.
- Knowledge of shell scripting (Bash) for automating routine administrative tasks.
- Experience managing file systems permissions and process monitoring.
- Understanding of DNS ports firewall rules and network connectivity troubleshooting.
- Awareness of SSL/TLS certificates and their role in securing communication between services.
- Ability to coordinate with network/security teams for whitelisting and certificate updates.
- Exposure writing Shell or Python scripts for operational automation health checks and report generation.
- Understanding of scheduled jobs using cron or workflow tools (e.g. Airflow).
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills for root cause analysis and system issue resolution.
- Ability to document standard operating procedures (SOPs) and maintain platform runbooks.
- Effective communication and collaboration with cross-functional teams (infra network data engineering).

Software Development Engineering (High Tech) focus on developing multiple types/categories of software including end-user applications and operating systems/utility software that provides a platform for running end user applications for sale to external customers. The work includes:
- Conducting requirements gathering and analysis to understand the domain of the software problem and/or functionality the interfaces between hardware and software and the overall software characteristics
- Using programming scripting and/or database languages to write the software code
- Supporting software testing deployment maintenance and evolution activities by correcting programming errors responding to scope changes and coding software enhancements
- Applying knowledge of software development best practices including coding standards code reviews source control management build processes testing and operations
