Associate Director- Market Access

Our Market Access team monitors population demographics and develops solutions to give patients access to our medicines. We act as both educators and advocates for our products processes and practices that help us revolutionize how our medicines create value in society.

Key Responsibilities:

Market Assessment & Strategic Planning

  • This position will be responsible for developing Market Access plan with execution map for the organizations products.
  • A strong institutional-level understanding of the Indian RACE ecosystem (incl. railways Army CGHS ESI PSUs) covering governance structure within each and procurement dynamics of all.
  • In depth understanding of the Indian healthcare insurance ecosystem including public and private payer landscapes reimbursement pathways pricing controls and access barriers. Leverages this insight to shape proactive market access strategiesanticipating policy shifts influencing payer engagement models and enabling sustainable access pathways for therapies.
  • To strategize develop and be responsible for execution of key Market Access activities. Works on patient and payer research activities understands and continually assesses health care policy dynamics across the country and makes adjustments to value propositions and reimbursement strategies.
  • Understand the market access landscape identify opportunities in public market identify drivers and barriers at different payers (beneficiary accounts as well as state / central govts) shaping policies and payer preferences for increased patient access for must win Therapy Areas (TAs)as identified under org strategy
  • Drive strategic planning market access & business plans to achieve the Business Unit revenues for the identified TAs / Brands through structured account management.
  • Contribute to development of proposals and concept papers; design and implement health outcome and economic studies- from studies to final report and uses it effectively for driving advocacy with the payers.
  • Develop pricing strategies and supporting business cases to optimize access and drive HEOR (Health economic and outcome research) projects for the relevant TAs by coordinating with regional / global HEOR team.
  • In close cooperation with Regional Marketing Leads Regional Medical team and Regional/Global Market Access team create cross functional projects for improving the access in the Public Market

Stakeholder Management

  • Cultivate effective working relationships with Govt. officials policy makers payors (public and private) key health care providers and other market influencers.
  • Provide support to Key Account Management teams in the markets with communication and engagement tools for helping them communicate the value proposition of Our company products.
  • Create/Drive external stakeholder management and engagement plan for increased access as well as maximizing the business opportunity with increased access
  • Work with all stakeholders to ensure a clear market Access process and its components are well defined and executed across all product portfolios.
  • Collaborate with various functions (MA/Public Market teams Our Companys Marketing team Global / Regional MA Regional / Global HOER team Finance HR External Affairs SCM and Medical teams Compliance Business Support L&D) to drive business plans and meet market access objectives as well as revenue goals.

People Management

  • Participate in the recruitment process allocate targets track monitor review and guide performance provide developmental feedback suggest training programs and facilitate the developmental process in order to achieve the BU objectives through a motivated team

In the discharge of the AD responsibilities the candidate will be required to undertake such other jobs as may be assigned by the Management from time to time.

  • Be committed for the knowledge sharing maintain strong relationships with the relevant colleagues.
  • Ensure all activities carried out by self are in accordance with legislative employment policies and compliant to the corporate policy.

Requirements

  • Masters / PHD in Public health/ HEOR / Pharmacy/ Medical / Market Access or related disciplines
  • Minimum 15 years of experience in market Access roles preferable in healthcare industry
  • Good experience of strategic and operational Market Access in health care domain in Oncology and NCD & preventive healthcare is a plus.
  • Experience in developing and executing market access strategies robust value dossiers and HTA submissions.
  • Good knowledge of HEOR protocols.
  • Ability to lead a team of senior professionals problem solving and prioritization skills organizational skills.
  • Customer focused with strong accountability integrity and diplomacy able to maintain highest levels of confidentiality internally and externally
