Associate AI & Machine Learning Intern

AI & Machine Learning Intern Global Payroll Technology Team

Location: Bangalore India (Hybrid)
Duration: 3 - 6 Months Internship

About the Role

Payroll Technology is building the next generation Global Command Center a platform that combines payroll operations automation analytics data intelligence and AI-powered decision support. This aligns with the teams AI & Innovation and Payroll AI capability pillars documented within Payroll Technology.

We are looking for passionate engineering students to join our team as AI & Machine Learning Interns. This internship provides an opportunity to work on real-world AI initiatives data-driven products intelligent automation solutions and next-generation payroll intelligence capabilities used across global payroll operations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist in developing and testing AI and Machine Learning models
  • Support data preparation cleansing transformation and feature engineering activities
  • Build prototypes for AI-powered business solutions and intelligent automation
  • Analyze large datasets to identify patterns trends and insights
  • Develop data pipelines and model evaluation processes
  • Work with APIs databases and cloud-based AI services
  • Collaborate with software engineers analysts and business stakeholders
  • Participate in model testing validation and performance optimization
  • Research emerging AI technologies and contribute innovative ideas
  • Document AI solutions experiments and findings

Required Skills

  • Strong understanding of Python programming
  • Good knowledge of Data Structures and Algorithms
  • Basic understanding of Machine Learning concepts
  • Familiarity with data analysis using Pandas and NumPy
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Understanding of statistics and mathematical fundamentals
  • Ability to learn quickly and work in a collaborative environment

Preferred Skills

  • Familiarity with Scikit-learn
  • Exposure to Generative AI LLMs or Prompt Engineering
  • Knowledge of SQL and databases
  • Experience with Git and GitHub
  • Understanding of cloud platforms such as Microsoft Azure
  • Academic personal or hackathon projects involving AI Machine Learning Data Science or Analytics
