Assistant Manager Housekeeping

• Assist the Housekeeping Manager in planning organising and supervising the housekeeping department including guest rooms public areas laundry and linen services.
• Inspect guest rooms and public areas regularly to ensure furnishings facilities and equipment are clean well-maintained and in good repair.
• Monitor room cleaning productivity and ensure all housekeeping duties are carried out to the highest standard providing guests with maximum efficiency of service and comfort.
• Plan and organise departmental training for ambassadors with particular attention to service standards courtesy efficiency and job knowledge.
• Prepare weekly staffing schedules monitor attendance and conduct labour planning to maintain cost effectiveness and meet hotel activity levels.
• Maintain accurate inventory of stocks guest supplies and linens ordering to par levels as necessary and preventing loss or pilferage.
• Handle guest complaints professionally and establish amicable relations with guests addressing their needs and concerns promptly.
• Prepare monthly reports and submit to the Housekeeping Manager.
• Ensure all department equipment and work areas are maintained to a high standard and that security of guest rooms and keys is upheld.

Qualifications :

• Previous Housekeeping management experience in a similar role is essential.
• Strong operational background with experience in the implementation and management of brand standards
• Sound knowledge of Opera and Microsoft applications.
• Proven experience with cost control including payroll expenses and forecasting
• Well groomed & articulate in communication.
• Excellent time management organisational skills and ability to work autonomously
