Job Description

The Thomson Reuters SAP Integrations team is looking for a SAP Business AI Platform Architect to lead the design and delivery of AI-driven solutions across our ONESOURCE suite of tax and accounting solutions. This role sits at the intersection of enterprise tax technology and emerging agentic AI patterns shaping how ONESOURCE products connect to SAPs evolving AI platform.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead architectural design and implementation of scalable AI platforms integrated with SAP systems including S/4HANA and SAP Business AI-based components (BDC BTP and Business AI Foundation).
  • Define and evolve software architecture and development strategy for SAP Business AI initiatives factoring in SAPs Knowledge Graph Joule Studio and the broader SAP Business AI Platform direction.
  • Manage cloud resources across BTP Cloud Foundry and adjacent environments to support AI platform operations at scale.
  • Partner with tax product and compliance stakeholders to translate regulatory requirements into technical solutions with clear project prioritization.
  • Track emerging technology and industry direction to identify where innovation is viable within SAP governance boundaries.
  • Guide development teams through architectural decisions building a culture where engineers grow into AI-native SAP development practices.
  • Deliver technical presentations covering AI platform strategy and integration architecture to audiences ranging from engineering teams to senior leadership.
  • Drive problem-solving on AI platform development and operational challenges e.g anomaly detection monitoring and drift in tax logic or determination accuracy.
  • Coordinate cross-functional collaboration among tax content engineering and product teams throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Apply sound decision-making and a research-driven mindset to evaluate AI tooling choices including MCP-based patterns against SAPs certification and compliance constraints.
  • Manage stakeholder relationships and expectations across ONESOURCE release cycles and hyper care commitments.

Required Qualifications and Preferred Qualifications

  • Proven experience as a Software Architect with a strong focus on AI and SAP integrations ideally SAP Business AI Platform components (BDC BTP and Business AI Foundation).
  • Working knowledge of SAPs AI ecosystem including BTP Joule Studio and Agent Gateway concepts or a demonstrated ability to ramp quickly in this space.
  • Exceptional skills in software architecture and development strategy with comfort operating under enterprise governance and certification requirements.
  • Familiarity with tax compliance frameworks is a plus though not required.
  • Strong stakeholder management and collaboration skills across technical and business audiences.
  • Solid judgment in project prioritization and technical decision-making particularly when weighing innovation against compliance constraints.
  • A research-oriented mindset with genuine interest in emerging AI tooling and continuous learning.
  • Strong problem-solving and critical thinking abilities especially around AI monitoring anomaly detection and operational reliability.
  • Demonstrated experience tracking industry trends and applying them to real architectural decisions.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to deliver clear technical presentations to senior stakeholders.
  • Leadership presence capable of influencing without direct authority across cross-functional teams.
