Application Support Engineer IISWindows

Job Overview

We are looking for an Application Support Engineer with hands-on experience supporting web applications and application environments using Windows Server IIS SQL Server .

The ideal candidate will be comfortable with application deployments production troubleshooting system configuration and resolving technical issues within defined service levels.

Key Responsibilities

• Support and troubleshoot web applications APIs and application environments.
• Deploy configure upgrade and maintain applications hosted on IIS.
• application deployments and upgrades.
• Troubleshoot application IIS SQL Server connectivity and production issues.
• Handle application releases patches fixes and service requests.
• Troubleshoot SSL certificates DNS ports and network connectivity.
• Assist with security hardening and remediation of application/server vulnerabilities.
• Analyze logs and identify the root cause of production issues.
• Work with internal and customer-facing teams to resolve technical issues.
• Ensure issues are handled within agreed SLAs (Service Level Agreements).
• Provide occasional onsite and after-hours support when required.

Required Skills

• 2 years of experience in Application Support / Production Support.
• Hands-on experience with Windows Server and IIS.
• Experience application deployment and support.
• Good working knowledge of Microsoft SQL Server.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Knowledge of SSL DNS networking and connectivity troubleshooting.
• Understanding of application/server security and vulnerability remediation.
• Basic SQL/scripting knowledge.
• Good communication and customer-handling skills.

Preferred

• Experience with APIs and web applications.
• Exposure to SQL clustering or log shipping.
• Exposure to DevOps practices.
• Familiarity with basic mobile application/platform support.
