API Automation Test Lead

We are looking for an experienced MuleSoft QA professional with 6 years of overall QA experience and strong expertise in Java Selenium automation. The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience in testing MuleSoft integrations and APIs building and maintaining automation frameworks and ensuring end-to-end quality across enterprise integration solutions. This role requires strong analytical skills a good understanding of API-led architecture and the ability to work closely with developers business analysts and DevOps teams in an Agile environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Design develop and execute test strategies for MuleSoft APIs integrations and related applications.
• Create and maintain automation test scripts using Java and Selenium for web-based validation scenarios.
• Perform API testing using tools such as Postman RESTAssured SoapUI to validate REST/SOAP services.
• Validate MuleSoft flows transformations error handling routing logic and end-to-end integration behavior.
• Develop and maintain reusable automation frameworks for functional regression and integration testing.
• Analyze business and technical requirements to create detailed test scenarios test cases and test data.
• Work closely with developers solution architects business analysts and DevOps teams to ensure quality throughout the SDLC.
• Identify log track and retest defects using defect management tools such as JIRA.
• Integrate automated test suites into CI/CD pipelines using tools like Jenkins GitHub or Azure DevOps.
• Participate in Agile ceremonies including sprint planning backlog grooming daily stand-ups and retrospectives.
• Support SIT regression UAT and release validation activities.
• Ensure test coverage quality metrics and reporting are maintained for each release cycle.

Areas of responsibility

Gathering of requirements-Participate in gathering requirements for specific modules and ensure clear structured documentation. Work across multiple business processes to capture linkages dependencies and required changes.

Solution Design-Facilitate creation of application solution designs for a specific module under the guidance of the Project Manager ensuring alignment with business requirements and technical standards.

Coding and Configuration-Review the developed codes resolve technical queries of the team for the assigned module and create consistent replication patterns to ensure that the developed code aligns with the project with project managers through all phases of software development life cycle.

Perform root-cause analysis to identify and troubleshoot recurring technical issues. Modify software codes to resolve errors adapt to new hardware and software enhance performance and upgrade interfaces.

Implementation-Collaborate with technical teams to validate configurations facilitate integration of new applications and address dependencies during deployment. Prepare user training documents and related frameworks to ensure smooth adoption new applications and minimize transition risks.
