Job Summary
he Lab In-Charge is responsible for ensuring the quality of raw materials molten metal in-process
materials and finished aluminium wire rods. The role ensures the required chemical composition electrical
conductivity UTS dimensions and other quality parameters meet customer specifications.
Key Responsibilities
Inspect and approve incoming aluminium raw materials.
Conduct chemical composition analysis and prepare the alloy recipe as per customer requirements.
Share the required chemical composition with the Production Department before melting.
Monitor quality during melting casting rolling and coiling operations.
Verify molten metal composition before casting and recommend corrective actions.
Inspect finished wire rods for diameter surface finish ovality weight conductivity UTS elongation
and other specified parameters.
Perform chemical physical and mechanical testing.
Prepare Chemical Analysis Reports Material Test Certificates (MTCs) inspection reports and quality
records.
Maintain calibration records and ensure proper functioning of laboratory equipment.
Coordinate with Production to resolve quality issues and minimize rejection and rework.
Supervise laboratory personnel and support internal customer and third-party quality audits.
Required Skills
Knowledge of aluminium metallurgy and wire rod manufacturing.
Expertise in chemical composition control conductivity and UTS testing.
Knowledge of laboratory testing methods and quality documentation.
Strong analytical reporting and problem-solving skills.
Qualification: Diploma/ in Metallurgy Mechanical Engineering Materials Engineering or a related
discipline.
Experience: 510 years in an Aluminium Rolling Mill Aluminium Wire Rod Plant Continuous Casting Plant
Required Skills:
QA automation engineer software testing Trained to work on automation tools Playwright Cypres Tool from microsoft 1 to 2 years experience One year contract 35 to 45k
