Job Purpose
Lead and oversee the strategic installation maintenance and optimization of all electrical equipment and systems ensuring not only the reliability and efficiency of operations but also prioritizing safety environmental sustainability and technological advancements. This role demands a proactive approach in integrating best practices continuous improvement initiatives and a keen foresight to anticipate challenges ensuring that production targets are consistently met while fostering a culture of innovation and teamwork.

Job Context: Hindalco is a leading producer of aluminium in the country. Extrusion process is very versatile & cost-effective metal forming process. The Silvassa Hindalco Extrusion section is new location and dedicated for B&C market which requires the low product cost with the utmost quality which is only possible with working of high-end press along with downstream process. Hindalco Industries Ltd. is the Metals Flagship of Aditya Birla Group. Hindalco Industries Ltd. Silvassa Extrusion plant aims to develop a one-of-a-kind Manufacturing Unit that will be highly automated to bring superior quality and consistency. Job Challenges:1. Strategic Maintenance & Deadline Management:
Prioritize and schedule complex maintenance tasks to ensure all are completed within specified deadlines without compromising on quality.
Develop predictive maintenance models to pre-empt potential equipment issues.
2. Advanced Troubleshooting:
- Apply advanced analytical and troubleshooting skills to identify and resolve complex electrical issues especially with automated machinery.
- Collaborate with global experts if necessary to address unique machine challenges.
3. Safety Protocols & Standards:
- Establish and oversee rigorous safety protocols to ensure all electrical maintenance activities adhere to the highest industry standards.
- Conduct regular safety audits and training sessions emphasizing the importance of safety in every operation.
4. Strategic Spare Management:
Forecast analyze and strategize spare needs keeping in mind the challenges of imported machinery costly components and extended lead times.
Establish relationships with international vendors and negotiate favourable terms to reduce lead times and costs.
5. Cost Efficiency & Budgeting:
Develop and manage budgets for electrical maintenance ensuring optimal use of resources.
Innovate cost-reduction strategies without compromising on equipment reliability or safety.
6. Manpower Development & Multi-skilling:
Implement training programs aimed at equipping team members with diverse skill sets allowing for flexibility and adaptability in maintaining equipment efficiency.
Promote a culture of continuous learning and encourage team members to stay updated with the latest industry trends and technologies.
