About the Role

We are looking for a high-impactAI/ML Engineerwithup to 5-7years of experience to build next-generationAutomotive AI systems aligned with HARMAN AESs vision ofagentic cross-domain automotive intelligence.

This role focuses on developing and deployingSLMs (Small Language Models) VLA/VLM models and AI orchestration layersacrossedge and cloud environments enabling intelligent cockpit ADAS and connected vehicle experiences.

What You Will Do

Model Development Domain Specific Finetuning & Deployment

• Develop and optimizeSLMs (Small Language Models)for:
  • In-vehicle conversational AI
  • Context-aware reasoning and intent handling
• Deploy model on Edge Device (CPU NPU GPU)
• Work withVLM/VLA modelsfor:
  • Scene understanding multi-modal perception and interaction
• Implementedge cloud AI pipelinesfor real-time inference and hybrid execution

2. Agentic AI & Orchestration Systems

• DevelopAI orchestration layers:
  • Intent routing and tool routing
  • Policy engines scheduling and coordination
  • Cross-domain context management

3. Multi-Modal & Cross-Domain Intelligence

• Build systems integrating:
  • Voice (ASR TTS NLU)
  • Visual perception (VLM/VLA)
  • Sensor fusion signals
• Enablecross-domain intelligence across cockpit ADAS and connected services

4. DataMLOps

• DesignML pipelines andMLOpsworkflows:
  • Model training evaluation deployment monitoring
• Ensure compliance with:
  • Safety cybersecurity and automotive standards

5. Collaboration & Engineering Integration

• Work with:
  • Embedded software teams
  • Cloud/data engineering teams
  • HMI and system integration teams
• Contribute toend-to-end automotive AI platforms and solutions

Bonus Points if You Have

• Automotive domain exposure (ADAS cockpit connectivity)
• Speech AI (ASR TTS conversational systems)
• Knowledge of:
  • AUTOSAR / embedded systems
  • Vehicle data platforms
• Experience with:
  • Simulation environments
  • Digital twin / validation platforms
• Seamless integration of in-vehicle AI solutions
• End-to-end AI engine development on edge devices leveraging NPU CPU and GPU capabilities
• AI/ML model inference on edge devices using C APIs or NNAPI for optimized performance

What Makes You Eligible

Core AI/ML

• Strong experience in:
  • Deep learning NLP and computer vision
  • LLM/SLM fine-tuning and optimization
• Exposure toVLM/VLA or multi-modal AI models

Agentic AI & Orchestration

• Hands-on experience with:
  • AI agents / tool-using LLMs
  • Orchestration frameworks (LangChainLanggraph/Autogent/Semantic Kernel custom pipelines)
  • MCP Servers

Edge Cloud AI

• Experience deploying models on:
  • Embedded / edge platforms
  • Cloud environments (Azure AWS GCP)

Programming & Frameworks

• Python (mandatory) C (preferred)
• PyTorch/ TensorFlow
• API-based AI integration

MLOps& Data

• Experience with:
  • Model lifecycle management
  • CI/CD pipelines
  • Data pipelines
