About the Team
Strategic Risk Consulting (SRC) is a part of the wider WTW Risk & Analytics division which provides an integrated approach to risk management in complex business environments. Strategic Risk Consulting is a diverse team with a global footprint and includes actuaries engineers natural catastrophe modelers and enterprise risk management specialists. Strategic Risk Consulting helps companies to identify quantify and optimise andtheir major risks and to connect risk management decisions with corporate financial performance objectives.
Responsibilities
Actuarial Project Delivery
Manage the end-to-end delivery of actuarial assignments across P&C reserving pricing and insurance optimisation captive capital and Solvency II risk financing and financial reporting.
Define and manage scope workplans timelines budgets dependencies and quality checkpoints for small to medium projects or workstreams within larger engagements.
Prepare and oversee forward-looking loss forecasts reserve analyses capital assessments and other bespoke actuarial models for corporate and captive insurance clients.
Interpret model outputs investigate movements and translate technical results into clear commercially relevant recommendations.
Technical Review and Quality Assurance
Perform independent technical and editorial review of data methodologies assumptions calculations models and client deliverables applying reasonableness checks and actuarial judgement.
Ensure work is accurate reproducible appropriately documented and compliant with applicable professional regulatory and internal standards.
Resolve routine and moderately complex technical issues using established methods and prior experience escalating novel or higher-risk matters when appropriate.
Maintain clear review evidence and support continuous improvement of templates controls and quality frameworks.
Lead or contribute substantively to client calls meetings workshops and presentations explaining actuarial methods findings limitations and recommendations in accessible language.
Work collaboratively with colleagues across geographies and disciplines coordinating inputs and ensuring effective information exchange.
Team Leadership and Capability Building
Coordinate the daily activities of analysts and senior analysts on assigned engagements allocate work and monitor progress against agreed plans.
Coach colleagues answer technical queries and provide timely constructive feedback that improves actuarial judgement communication and delivery quality.
Deliver training and knowledge-sharing sessions and contribute to a cooperative inclusive environment that encourages technical development and shared learning.
Support resource planning workload prioritisation onboarding and development discussions for the immediate team.

Qualifications
Experience and Qualifications
Recognised degree in actuarial science mathematics statistics economics engineering or another highly numerate discipline.
A minimum of 8 out of 13 actuarial examinations completed toward a recognised actuarial qualification.
At least 5 years of relevant actuarial experience including experience in one or more of P&C reserving pricing capital risk financing captive insurance or financial reporting.
Experience managing project delivery or workstreams reviewing actuarial work and guiding junior colleagues.
Advanced written and spoken English with the ability to produce concise reports and communicate confidently with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Technical Tools
Strong Microsoft Office capability is required.
Proficiency in at least one relevant analytical or actuarial tool is expected such as R/R Shiny Python Power BI RADAR Igloo or ResQ.
The successful candidate should be able to select fit-for-purpose tools review outputs critically and support reproducible analysis.
