Account Manager-Debt Collections
Job Summary
Role Overview
We are seeking a proactive and results-driven Account Manager-Debt Collections to manage outstanding customer accounts and ensure timely recovery of overdue payments. The ideal candidate will possess strong communication negotiation and relationship management skills with the confidence to engage customers professionally while maintaining a firm approach to collections.
This role requires excellent spoken English persistence attention to detail and the ability to balance customer service with collection objectives.
Key Responsibilities
• Contact customers via phone email and other communication channels regarding overdue payments.
• Follow up consistently on outstanding invoices and payment commitments.
• Negotiate payment arrangements and settlement plans where appropriate.
• Maintain accurate records of collection activities customer interactions and payment statuses.
• Monitor aging reports and prioritize collection efforts based on risk and overdue balances.
• Escalate high-risk or non-responsive accounts to management as required.
• Build and maintain professional relationships with customers while ensuring collection targets are achieved.
• Investigate and resolve billing disputes that may impact collections.
• Coordinate with internal teams including Finance Operations and Customer Support to resolve account-related issues.
• Ensure compliance with company policies and collection procedures.
• Prepare periodic reports on collection performance outstanding balances and recovery progress.

• Accuracy of collection records and reporting
Required Skills & Competencies
• Excellent verbal and written English communication skills.
• Strong negotiation and persuasion abilities.
• Confidence in handling difficult conversations and following up persistently.
• Ability to influence customers and secure payment commitments.
• Strong problem-solving and conflict-resolution skills.
• Good organizational and time-management abilities.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel CRM systems and collection tools.
• Ability to work independently and achieve collection targets.
Qualifications & Experience
• Bachelor's degree in Commerce Business Administration Finance or a related field preferred.
• 2 years of experience in debt collections accounts receivable customer collections or credit control.
• Experience in the Telecom BPO Financial Services or related industry will be preferred.
• Proven track record of achieving collection and recovery targets.

• Salary range: 5 LPA to 7 LPA
• Working days and office timings: WFO 5 days/week 3:30 AM-12:30 PM(Employees are requested to be flexible)
