Finance Manager (Guyana)

Overview: Our client is a well-established manufacturer/distributor that provides products to a wide customer base. Due to expansion of its regional base they are seeking a strategic and results-oriented finance professional with strong analytical and compliance expertise to join the Guyana-based team.

Duties & Responsibilities:

• Lead the preparation of financial reports plans forecasts budgets reconciliation audits and taxation to ensure alignment with strategic objectives.
  
• Monitor cash flow expenses revenues and financial performance. Implement financial management procedures and controls.
  
• Conduct risk management and competitive analysis. Advise on potential financial risks and provide recommendations.
  
• Ensure compliance with financial laws and regulations.
  
• Manage investments and capital activities. Identify cost reduction and analyze trends.
  

• A bachelors degree in accounting / finance / business with at least 5 years experience in a Finance leadership role; OR completion of ACCA or similar accounting designation with 4 years experience in a Finance leadership role.
  
• Proficient in accounting systems with specific experience in SAGE and/or similar ERP and accounting systems. Experience with SAGE Intacct would be an advantage.
  
• Strong knowledge of International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) for SMEs.
  
• Excellent analytical skills with a strategic mindset.
  
• A proactive approach to problem solving.
  
• High level of interpersonal communication and leadership skills across a diverse community.
  
• Sound knowledge of MS Office suite especially in Excel and PowerPoint.
  
• Detail-oriented with a readiness to Champion best practices.
  
• Open to learning adaptability and innovation with a growth mindset.
