We develop on-board software for satellites and data processing solutions for ground segment infrastructures. We develop Spatial Data Infrastructure (SDI) in compliance with INSPIRE as well as solutions for Smart City and complex systems to support decisions that exploit geographic information and Earth observation data according to the new paradigms of Cloud and Software As a Service.

Your Role as a Senior Remote Sensing Technical Specialist

As a Senior Remote Sensing Technical Specialist you will develop innovative applications and services for geospatial projects leveraging your expertise in remote sensing technologies. Your role will involve processing and analyzing Earth observation data using specialized software and custom tools.

Key Responsibilities:

• Remote Sensing Expertise: Utilize your deep understanding of optical SAR and hyperspectral remote sensing to analyze and process geospatial data.
• Software Proficiency: Employ EO software such as ERDAS Imagine QGIS and ArcGIS to manage and interpret geospatial datasets.
• Technical Documentation: Develop reports publications and project proposals related to EO applications.
• Collaboration: Work with multidisciplinary teams and stakeholders to ensure the successful execution of projects.

Additional Responsibilities:

• Implement AI-based solutions for EO data analysis using frameworks like TensorFlow Keras PyTorch and scikit-learn.
• Utilize cloud platforms such as AWS Azure or Google Cloud for EO data processing and accessibility.
• Apply expertise in EO data formats and processing tools to enhance analytical capabilities.
• Engage with Data and Information Access Services (DIAS) to facilitate seamless EO data sharing.

Required Background & Qualifications

Education:

• Bachelors degree in Surveying Engineering Forestry Environmental Science Geography Physical Sciences or Geology.
• A Masters degree in Geoinformatics or Computer Vision is a plus.

Technical Skills:

• Solid knowledge of EO (multispectral SAR) including data management and metadata.
• Hands-on experience with geospatial data processing and AI (ML/DL) applications.
• Proficiency in scripting and spatial data analysis using Python or other programming languages.

Language Skills:

• Fluency in Greek and English.

• Ability to multitask under tight deadlines.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Effective communication and teamwork abilities.
