About the Role

We are looking for a Senior Backend Engineer who wants to build the foundation that empowers entire engineering organizations. This is not a traditional feature-development role. Instead youll be working on the core platform that enables product teams to move faster build smarter and deliver better software. As part of the Platform Engineering team you will develop and enhance an Internal Developer

Platform that serves as the backbone of our technology ecosystem. Your work will have a multiplier effect across the organization influencing how developers build deploy monitor and scale applications.

This role is ideal for engineers who enjoy solving complex technical challenges designing scalable systems driving engineering excellence and taking ownership of solutions from concept to production.

Key Responsibilities

Design develop and enhance the Internal Developer Platform used across multiple engineering teams.

Build platform infrastructure developer services CI/CD solutions observability tools and engineering productivity systems.

Contribute to platform capabilities supporting AI readiness automation and next- generation development workflows.

Develop and maintain DSL-based platform components including compiler and runtime functionality.

Drive system architecture decisions with a focus on scalability reliability and long- term maintainability.

Take full ownership of services throughout the entire lifecycle from design and implementation to deployment and operations.

Establish high standards for code quality testing documentation and operational excellence.

Collaborate closely with product teams to understand developer needs and continuously improve platform capabilities.

Explore and integrate AI-powered engineering tools and workflows into the software development lifecycle.

Help shape the future of developer experience engineering productivity and platform strategy.

Requirements

5 years of experience developing backend applications using modern programming languages and web technologies.

Strong system design and architecture experience with a focus on scalable backend services and APIs.

Ability to think beyond individual tasks and design solutions that enable other teams to succeed.

Experience building and maintaining production-grade systems.

Working knowledge of Kubernetes and modern cloud-native infrastructure.

Strong ownership mindset with the ability to solve problems across technical and organizational boundaries.

Interest in AI-powered development tools and emerging engineering workflows.

Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate across engineering teams and stakeholders.

Professional-level German language proficiency (C1 or higher).

Nice to Have

Experience with PHP Kotlin Rust MongoDB Grafana or Jenkins.

Exposure to LLM integrations AI platforms Agentic AI solutions or workflow automation.

Experience with platform engineering developer tooling or internal developer platforms.
