Job Summary

Our Game Plan

Are you driven by understanding how the Earth actually behaves under extreme conditions Do you believe the future of geothermal energy depends on mastering rock mechanics stress and fracture

At Telura were developing the next-generation drilling system which uses ultra-high-voltage electro-impulses to fracture hard rock essentially destroying with lightning to enable economically viable drilling beyond todays hotspots and unlock affordable baseload
energy anywhere. The physics is well understood but success depends on how this technology interacts with real subsurface conditions.

Founded in 2025 and based in Munich Telura is working closely with leading European universities is supported by SPRIND and has raised $5m to date from leading German investors.

As we move from validation toward field-relevant testing were looking to connect with a mechanical design and/or stress engineer to help shape how our technology meets the Earth.

Tasks

What youll be working on

  • Architect design and develop core mechanical subsystems for our drill bit and drilling system - from initial concept to market launch. Your input will shape the product for years to come.
  • Conduct FEA-driven analysis to evaluate static loads fatigue life thermal-mechanical coupling and failure modes under extreme conditions
  • Build prototypes support the definition of test infrastructure from scratch and conduct testing and validation to progressively prove and de-risk our technology
  • Integrate HV thermal and fluid systems into a robust drilling assembly
  • Set up and improve development processes with an eye on design manufacturing and future operations. Defining how well build not just what well build.

Requirements

What we are looking for
