How youll add value
- Drive the end-to-end preparation execution and timely delivery of monthly quarterly and annual financial statements in strict accordance with German GAAP (HGB) and IFRS frameworks.
- Own the day-to-day general ledger operations including reconciliations asset accounting management and intercompany procedures.
- Oversee regular local tax and regulatory reporting compliance actively managing VAT filings corporate statistical reports and foreign trade declarations.
- Optimize existing financial software applications (ideally SAP) to automate transactional tasks eliminate manual data entry and improve data flow integrity.
- Partner cross-functionally with Controlling Legal and external auditors to provide transparent financial reporting answer auditable inquiries and streamline year-end financial audits.
- Support the onboarding day-to-day coordination and professional skill development of junior finance team members to maintain high operational standards.
Youll be successful in this role if you
- Have 5 years of professional experience in Accounting under HGB with expertise in general ledger accounting German VAT and process improvements (IFRS knowledge is a plus)
- Approach work with a hands-on curious mindset comfortable with technical complexity and AI-driven workflows with a knack for spotting opportunities to improve and challenge existing processes
- Have experience with SAP (S/4 HANA as a plus)
- Show a high level of ownership initiative and problem-solving skills
- Possess excellent time management and self-organization abilities
- Have strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Google Sheets
- Communicate fluently in English and independently in German (B2 certification is a strong plus)
