Role Purpose:The Finance Associate provides general administrative and coordination support in day-to-day operations within the Finance Team working closely with the project accountants.

Salary Band: According to TIS internal salary structure; this position is aligned with band PF1 with a salary range of EUR 35.17549.035 gross per year. Final salary placement will be determined based on the number of years of relevant professional experience.
Starting Date: as soon as possible
Contract Duration:Currently we can offer an employment contract limited for a duration of 1 year.
Working Hours: full time 100%; 40 hours per week
Location: Transparency International Secretariat (TI-S) Berlin/Germany
Based in the Finance Team and reporting to the Project Finance Manager the Finance Associate will:
Support the coordination of work and information flow between Finance and Project teams ensuring process integrity
Proactively support day-to-day finance and administration operations; ensure consistency with TI-S processes and procedures
Ensure financial and MEL information received from project partners is accurate and complies with donor regulations
Ensure processes are up-to-date and meet the needs of the team suggest improvements where necessary
Contribute to team-related projects carry out desk research and provide input into the development and implementation of policies guidelines and procedures in line with best practice
Support organisational travel arrangements where necessary
Support information management for the team including maintaining up to date organized and accurate filing systems
Respond to requests for information researching in order to provide sufficient responses or escalating where needed
Contribute to the overall functioning of the team by providing proactive and ad hoc support where necessary
In order to succeed in this role candidates will need to meet the following:
Completed qualification (e.g. apprenticeship vocational education undergraduate degree) in a relevant field
2 years of professional experience in finance administration and related tasks
Experience with international organisations and multi-cultural work environments an advantage
Professional language proficiency (written and spoken) in English (working language of the organisation) required other languages especially French Spanish and Arabic an advantage
Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks across a wide range of issues and ability to work effectively under pressure
Ability to communicate effectively with both internal stakeholders and external partners service providers and other institutions
Good knowledge of MS Office (in particular Excel)
Ability to handle confidential information and demonstrate discretion
