TheTransportationManagerwill bekeyrole in ensuring the success and operational excellence of the Alcon EuropeanSurgicaltransportation network. The associate will beaSubject Matter Expert in all areas of EuropeanSXsecondarytransportationfocused on analysisprojectsand continuous improvement.

This position may be based in any country in Europe offering flexibility for the right candidate.

Major Accountabilities

• Lead /Supportsurgicalfreight initiatives
• Be the SPOC /ProjectLead forseveral transportationtopics
• Budget: Supportwith the preparation of the annual carrier budget monitoring
• Overseethe overall shipment flows
• Cross collaboration with manufacturing sites 3PLsproviders and distribution centers on transfers and transportation needs between sites
• Interface betweenTransportationSXandGlobal TransportationAPL Supply Chain HUB EL Supply Chain / Logistics OperationWarehouses ITetc.
• Attendweekly orchestrator calls with the countries andstakeholders from other functions (S&OPWH&D Customer Operations)/ lead and coordinatethe transportation topics
• Collaborate with our procurement teamfor RFQsand ad-hoc freight cost analysis
• Perform ad-hocanalysisand on-going statistics
• Active participation in continuous improvement process (CIP) by completing CIP projects to drive savings towards financial targets
• Measure & improve service performance (on-time OTIF)
• Resolve transportation routing errors late pickups/deliveries
• Support Global and Regional financial targets through operational excellence

Key Performance Indicators:

• Regional freight expense as % of sales & savings
  On-time delivery carrier spend poi and product brand protection
  Key service metrics (damages on-time delivery- shipped on time and shipped cost per unit)

WHAT YOULL BRING TO ALCON
Relevant education enabling successful performance in logistics supply chain or related fields
Experience in transportation management freight forwarding vendor management or supply chain operations
Strong technical understanding of logistics processes customs compliance and GxPaligned documentation practices
Behaviors that include proactive problemsolving clear communication accountability and a commitment to continuous improvement.
