ABOUT THE OPPORTUNITY:
ONE is seeking a Policy & Media Intern to join the France team in ONEs Paris preferred internship duration is 4 to 6 months with a desired start date in mid-August.
The Policy & Media Intern will work on a range of issues including international solidarity access to health care and vaccination in low-income countries Frances development policy and aid budget and solidarity taxes.
ROLE AND KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Daily press review media monitoring and information gathering.
Political monitoring including tracking developments from the Élysée Palace the French Government and Parliament.
Maintaining the journalist database and archiving ONEs media coverage.
Supporting the media activities of ONEs volunteer program the Youth Ambassadors.
Training and preparing Youth Ambassadors for media interviews.
Writing and translating articles and briefing notes from French to English and English to French.
Representing ONE at various events and meetings with partners.
Assisting with the planning and logistics of events organized by the NGO.
Any other relevant tasks assigned by managers.
PROFILE AND SKILLS REQUIRED:
Current student or recent graduate with a minimum Bachelors degree (Bac3) in communications journalism political science business or a related field. Other relevant qualifications and experience will also be considered.
Excellent writing skills and impeccable attention to spelling and grammar.
Strong verbal communication skills and the ability to present ONE and its work effectively.
Self-motivated organized proactive and detail-oriented.
Excellent written and spoken French and English.
Strong team spirit and willingness to support the organizations mobilization and advocacy efforts.
Interest in the French-speaking media landscape international development issues and politics.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Outlook.
ELIGIBILITY
Only candidates who are able to provide a formal internship agreement (convention de stage) are eligible to apply.
COMPENSATION
1200 net per month
