The Team:
S&P Dow Jones Indices offers innovative indices across all asset classes to investment banks and other financial institutions for the creation of financial products as well as measuring and managing risk and identifying investment opportunities.
The Continental sales teams mission is to drive revenue across all asset classes within the region and manage and extend Client relationships.
The Impact:
As an Associate Director you are a proven professional operator with deep knowledge of Index benchmarks and structured products within the Continental Europe Sell-Side market.
You will be responsible for driving sales of a suite of S&P DJIs products with a strong focus on Equity & Fixed Income indices. You will work closely with all parts of the S&P DJI organization including Client Coverage Product Research and Client Services.
You will be an ambassador for S&P DJI and help cultivate a high-performance culture of client-centrism disciplined execution collaboration innovation and integrity.
Responsibilities:
Cultivate and manage revenue generating relationships among clients of SPDJI within the French market (investment banks brokers and distributors)
Pitch new index concepts to clients and prospects and gather feedback to improve S&P DJI offering
Identify new licensing opportunities
Manage contract negotiation and execution; develop usage rights and appropriate commercial terms
Ensure proper monitoring of usage of S&P DJIs intellectual property marks and data among assigned clients
Understand evolving landscape of index and related product usage
Collaborate with internal stakeholders to meet client needs
Qualifications:
5 years of successful track record in a relationship management and/or revenue generation role with sales experience covering French IBDs
Masters degree with a background in Finance Economics or engineering
Understanding of the derivatives market and its infrastructure
Ability to drive growth through proven marketing and sales results
Ability to stay on top of evolving market trends with desire to continually learn and add new technical and selling skills
The role requires a high level of technical acumen attention to details the ability to understand front office needs
Strong presentation strategic thinking interpersonal negotiation and closing skills
Fluency in English; additional European languages are a bonus
CRM knowledge (Salesforce or equivalent)
Critical Experiences
Client coverage/ relationship management experience with established history of revenue generation
Experience with contracts commercials and fee proposals
Proven ability to work efficiently in a collaborative selling environment while maximizing resources available to achieve success
Demonstrated ability to influence and effectively connect stakeholders at all levels across a highly matrixed organization
Prior experience in a front office investment bank role is a plus
