Principal System Engineer

Job Summary
NXP Semiconductors France is seeking a Principal System Engineer to lead the architectural definition design and implementation of complex embedded systems ensuring cutting-edge performance and reliability for our next-generation semiconductor products.

The preferred candidate is mid level experienced system engineer with prior work expertise in system engineering modeling performance study etc

Job Responsibilities

• Lead the system-level architecture definition and design for new semiconductor products encompassing hardware software and firmware aspects.
• Conduct detailed system analysis requirements gathering and specification development translating product requirements into technical solutions.
• Perform feasibility studies trade-off analyses and risk assessments for proposed system architectures.
• Collaborate closely with hardware software and verification teams to ensure seamless integration and validation of system components.
• Develop and implement system-level test plans and strategies to ensure robust functionality and performance.
• Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior engineers fostering a culture of innovation and excellence.
• Act as a key technical interface with customers understanding their needs and translating them into technical requirements and solutions.
• Drive continuous improvement in system engineering processes and methodologies.
• Contribute to intellectual property generation through patent disclosures and technical publications.

Job Qualifications

• Masters degree or Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering Computer Science or a related field.
• 12 years of experience in system engineering with a strong focus on embedded systems and semiconductor product development.
• Excellent written oral and presentation capability
• Individual contributor but works closely with team members from diverse cultures and geographies
• Strong expertise in programming and modeling - C C MATLAB Python
• Sold experience in wireless communication system design or control system design DC-DC modeling and performance analysis jitter modeling
• Worked in product specification and development in analog-mixed signal domain
