Position: Bilingual French STEM Expert (PhD) AI Safety
Type: Contract
Compensation: $58$62/hour
Location: Remote

Role Responsibilities

• Write expert-level prompts in French across specialized scientific topics.
• Evaluate and annotate model responses for scientific accuracy helpfulness and appropriate handling of sensitive content.
• Apply structured guidelines to classify prompts and conversations.
• Work independently and asynchronously to enhance AI model safety.
• Collaborate with AI research teams to ensure model outputs align with scientific standards.

Qualifications

Must-Have

• PhD in chemistry biology or a closely related field.
• Native or near-native fluency in French and business-level written English.
• Deep familiarity with modern laboratory and computational techniques in your subfield.
• Sound judgment around scientific safety and responsible handling of dual-use information.

Preferred

• Based in France or the wider Western Europe region.
• Expertise in radiochemistry nuclear chemistry or related fields.
• Demonstrated depth in a specific subfield like organic synthesis or molecular biology.
• Experience with chemical safety biosafety or hazardous-materials handling.
• Experience reviewing or grading technical content.
