Job Summary

 Industrial Property Manager F/M/X

(CDI - based in Lyon)

 

Innovation is at the heart of everything we do. As we continue to grow and develop cutting-edge drug delivery solutions we are looking for an experienced Industrial Property Manager to help protect and maximize the value of our innovations worldwide.

You will serve as the primary point of contact for all Intellectual Property (IP) matters within the franchises of the Business Units partnering closely with R&D Engineering Legal marketing and Business teams as well as external IP counsels to support Nemeras growth ambitions.

This position reports to the Global IP Manager and is based in Lyon.

 

 

Job Description :

IP Protection & Portfolio Management

  • Identify and protect innovations through IP Rights including patents design patents and trademarks notably by managing invention disclosures patentability assessments and filing strategies.
  • Coordinate patent and design patents drafting and prosecution with inventors designers and external counsel.
  • Manage develop and protect the IP portfolio including filings examinations renewals extensions and oppositions management.
  • Lead Innovation review and IP portfolio committees and support strategic portfolio decisions.

Freedom-to-Operate & Competitive Intelligence

  • Support Business by conducting IP landscape analysis technology scouting and competitive intelligence activities.
  • Perform and coordinate Freedom-to-Operate (FTO) assessments to identify and mitigate IP risks associated with products technologies and development projects.
  • Monitor competitor IP activities and assess risks and opportunities related to emerging technologies and markets.

Contracts & IP Advisory

  • Support the review and negotiation of IP-related provisions agreements.
  • Advise internal stakeholders and support discussions with customers and partners on IP matters.
  • Promote best practices in confidentiality data protection and contractual compliance.
  • Support the development and implementation of IP policies procedures and awareness initiatives across the organization

Strategic IP Support

  • Conduct IP due diligences and support IP-related litigation matters.
  • Support the IP budget definition and contribute to the definition of IP strategy.
  • Identify risks and opportunities enhance IP processes and foster collaboration across the organization.

Qualifications :

So what are we looking for

  • Engineering degree preferably in Mechanical Engineering.
  • CEIPI qualification or equivalent IP certification; EQE is a plus.
  • At least 8 to 10 years of experience in Intellectual Property within an international and industrial environment ideally in connection with the plastic industry.
  • Strong knowledge of patent law and engineering principles.
  • Excellent analytical communication and project management skills.
  • Proactive team player with the ability to work independently and influence stakeholders.
  • Capable of translating complex technical topics into effective IP strategies.
