Job Summary

To support this mission the Syngenta recruitment team is looking for a Site HSE Coordinator in Nerac. This role will support the execution of operational HSE expertise across all site activities by:

Responsibilities

  • Operational Oversight: Performing daily HSE visits and audits to identify areas for improvement and ensuring the strict application of Health Safety and Environmental standards.
  • Risk Management: Leading hazard identification and risk assessments while facilitating incident investigations (RCA) and ensuring the effective implementation of corrective action plans.
  • Culture & Coaching: Promoting and coaching the workforce in Behavioral Based Safety (BBS) and fostering a safe culture through regular communication and shift leader liaison.
  • Training & Compliance: Delivering HSE training sessions according to the site plan and managing critical local processes such as Permits to Work (PTW) and PPE management.
  • Environmental & Contractor Support: Monitoring environmental parameters (waste segregation) and conducting HSE audits for contractors tollers and growers.

Qualifications :

Required

  • Diploma in HSE Management System or equivalent (e.g. NEBOSH/IOSH).
  • 1-2 years of experience in an HSE role within industrial or agricultural operations.
  • Solid knowledge of local and international HSE laws and regulations.
  • Proven experience as a trainer and the ability to develop competency requirements.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities with a pragmatic approach to workplace standards.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to maintain relationships across all levels.

Desired

  • Ability to interpret critical data to identify and implement appropriate site action plans.
  • Experience in managing HSE reporting tools (e.g. Enablon).
  • Capacity to influence and communicate effectively at both rational and political levels.
