Department Overview

The Fixed Income Division (FID) is comprised of Interest Rate and Currency Products Credit Products Securitized Products and Municipal Securities. Professionals in the Division assess and actively manage risk trade securities and structure as well as execute innovative transactions in the fast-paced and constantly changing global markets. The Commodities Division is a market leader in energy metals and agricultural product trading worldwide whose professionals trade in both physical and derivative commodity risk.

What will you be doing

• Supporting the EM Fixed Income sales team within Morgan Stanley covering clients for EM Rates and Credit / Flow and Structured products
• Required to regularly liaise with Salespeople Traders Operations Regulatory BURM and IT to ensure a smooth front-to-back workflow
• Building Models for the desk
• Responsible for administrative support and post trade query management
• General desk support and ad-hoc requests

What were looking for:

• Investment Banking experience ideally within a Rates/credit environment with a strong Operations / Middle office background.
• Very strong analytical skills. Strong excel skills are fundamental (ideally with good formula k
• nowledge).
• Must have excellent communication skills and work well in a fast-pace high-pressure environment.
• Great attention to detail.
• Ability to investigate issues and propose solutions or preventative measures.
• A broad understanding and appreciation of current regulatory developments within Investment Banking.
• Fluent English is required. Proficiency in French German or Italian would be an advantage
• Strong oral and written communication skills.
• Degree educated within a STEM subject (Finance/ Maths /Economics or Engineering).
