Early Career Embedded Software Engineer (mf)

Job Description:

Airbus Defence and Space is looking for an Embedded Software Engineer (f/m) to join a team of experts dedicated to developing on-board software for cutting-edge satellite missions including Earth Observation Telecommunications Navigation and Science or Constellations.

You will be at the heart of our development cycle. You wont just be writing code; you will be contributing to the creation of standardized DHS (Data Handled SW) modules. These modules are high-value products delivered to internal international partners (UK Germany Spain...) and integrated into the core software of major global space programs.

This role is designed to provide you with a comprehensive view of the software lifecycle in a highly regulated space industry.

Your challenges:

- Design & Develop: Participate in the detailed design and implementation of software code.

- Master Quality Standards: Learn to write test plans execute procedures and validate software in accordance with strict space standards.

- Deliver & Integrate: Support the delivery of modules and documentation to internal customers and assist in their integration into central satellite software.

- Solve Complex Problems: Contribute to anomaly investigations and learn how to troubleshoot high-reliability systems.

- Verify that the SW requirements are correctly & completely implemented.

Your Profile

Education & Technical Skills:Recently graduated with a Masters degree or Engineering degree in Computer Science Embedded Systems or a related field

Solid understanding of Low-Layer software (Operating Systems like Linux/Unix Computer & Processor architectures)

Familiarity with the V-cycle development process

Knowledge of programming languages such as C C or Java

Basic understanding of design methods (e.g. UML)

Curious proactive and ready to dive into complex technical challenges

You enjoy breaking down problems and finding logical solutions

You enjoy working in a collaborative multicultural environment

You have good communication skills and are comfortable working in English.

This position requires a security clearance or will require being eligible for clearance by the recognized authorities.
