Role Overview
We are seeking a skilled Citrix Engineer to provide L2/L3 engineering and operational support for a Microsoft Azure-hosted Citrix environment.
The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing enterprise Virtual Desktop Infrastructure (VDI) ensuring seamless application delivery optimizing user experience and supporting a globally distributed workforce within a managed services environment.
Key Responsibilities
1. Citrix Platform Engineering & Administration
Administer and support Citrix Virtual Apps & Desktops (CVAD) and Citrix DaaS environments
Manage:
Delivery Controllers
VDAs
Machine Catalogs
Delivery Groups
Maintain and optimize:
Golden Images
Application Publishing
Application Delivery Services
2. Access & Gateway Management
Configure and manage:
Citrix ADC / NetScaler
Citrix Gateway
Support secure remote access and authentication integrations
Troubleshoot connectivity and access-related issues
3. User Experience & Session Management
Manage:
Citrix StoreFront
Workspace App
WEM
User Profile Services (FSLogix)
Troubleshoot:
Session performance issues
Profile loading issues
User experience challenges
4. Azure Infrastructure Support
Support Azure components including:
Virtual Machines
Networking
Storage
Load Balancers
Perform:
Infrastructure troubleshooting
Performance optimization
Availability management
5. Incident Problem & Change Management
Manage end-to-end incident lifecycle aligned with ITIL practices
Support major incident resolution RCA and service restoration
Perform problem management and trend analysis
Execute changes aligned with approved change management processes
6. Monitoring & Performance Optimization
Monitor:
Citrix platform health
Azure infrastructure
User sessions and performance metrics
Perform:
Alert triage
Threshold tuning
Proactive monitoring
7. Application Support & Packaging
Support application delivery within Citrix environments:
Application publishing and deployment
User session troubleshooting
Perform application packaging using:
Chocolatey
Microsoft Intune
Citrix packaging tools
8. Patch Management DR & Operational Readiness
Conduct:
Patch management for Citrix components and Windows OS
Disaster Recovery (DR) planning execution and testing
Failover validation and operational readiness checks
9. Governance & Reporting
Participate in:
Weekly/Monthly service reviews
Governance meetings
Contribute to:
SLA reporting
Incident trend analysis
Performance insights
Required Experience
4 8 years of experience in Citrix Administration and enterprise VDI environments
Hands-on experience with:
Citrix Virtual Apps & Desktops (CVAD)
Citrix DaaS
Enterprise production support
Incident problem and change management
