Process Improvement Engineer

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Provide technical assistance to the production departments for operational issues pertaining to safety, environmental, capacity, and quality
• Provide process knowledge to project managers and engineering personnel to aid in the specification and /or maintenance of process equipment, instruments and control logic
• Partner with plant operation personnel to secure process data for identification of technology gaps, improvement opportunities, and project definitions
• Direct the implementation of process and equipment changes to maximize productivity
• Act as a point of contact for technical issues with customers, suppliers and other Lubrizol locations
• Evaluate expenditures for processes and/or equipment
• Provide leadership on projects related to the above as needed
• Other duties as assigned

SKILLS, QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE, SPECIAL PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

• A bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering
• Positions suitable for engineers with a minimum of3 years’ experience in process or plant operations
• The ability to keep information confidential
• Strong data analysis and analytical skills
• Experience planning and directing project implementation
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office products
• Ability to communicate effectively with persons at all levels of the organization

CONSIDERED A PLUS:

• Experience with SAP, Aspen and Statistics
• Graduate degree in engineering
• Experience leading capital project
